As an admin, let me see a users recent history
We have to fix users mistakes, i'd like to see the last (as many as needed) steps they did.

Document Transformation Preview
When creating a transformation, it would be nice to ne able to see a live preview of the transformation instead of switching back and forth between tabs/browsers to see the display.

64-bit Version
A 64-bit version would be nice at some point in the future, at least for one of the builds, possibly the ASP.NET 4.0 version.

At this time Kentico CMS is 32-bit and is fully tested on x64 platform. I know, that WoW64 is not the same as the native x64 support and we are aware of the Microsoft Server platform shift to x64 support only.

improved picture management
upload in original size with full metadata. store select metadata in db for display + search. automatically move orginal sized image to special storage share. resize picture to two prediefined sizes (e.g. hd 1920x1080 + vga 640x480) in set quality (e.g. 70%), remove metadata, add selected metadata (e.g. copyright) and store resized pictures in db. use the appropriate one depending on picture and/or browser window size whenever the picture is used on the website. allow tagging and management of thousands of pictures.

A media player webpart with playlist
I would like to see a webpart that would play videos which have been uploaded to a folder. And would present the visitor with a playlist. Something similar to http://www.cnn.com/video where the video player is on the left and the playlist appears on the right.

Cloning
Cloning options would be immensely helpful. For example, I am making a handful of alternative forms for a table, and they are largely the same. But for each form, I have to go through each field and set the same properties. It would be nice to have a clone button that copies everything and lets me make just the few changes I need.

Looking for more details about upcoming releases ...
Where we can find more details about upcoming releases. The roadmap is not the answer.
Why your product manager has stopped to blog about upcoming and current features? It was quite interesting to see more details about future features.
Or are you preparing anothe way how to inform your customers about new features?

LiveChat on the Site - like Zopim
I like Zopim live chat on my Site. This future can connect communication between shop-operator and customer. It is wery good support for e-shops and e-commerce sites. Shop-operator can see how many users are on his site and direct send some message to them. There is possible active-markenting(support) to customer.....I can send mess direct to castomer: Hi, How can you help you with this product? etc., because I know URL where a costomer is!
You can check www.zopim.com

Create "pre-configured web parts"
It would be nice to have an area of the CMSDesk where we could create "pre-configured" web parts. I find that I need to show the same data on multiple pages... and I have to configure the same web part multiple times.
Page inheritance does not always work. Nor does cloning a web part and setting default values (as suggested in the documentation).
Let me explain: I have a web part being used in 15 different page templates. I needed to change the OrderBy value and had to do so for all 15 web parts individually.
It would be nice… more

Option to render Button as Link for all webparts
I think it would be really nice when Kentico webparts/user controls would be more CSS friendly when buttons get the possibility to render as link.
When using a link (LinkButton), in for instance the ShoppingCart, the developer/designer is free to create his own look and feel button, with for instance CSS like this :
/* #Buttons/Dark green# */
a.ButtonDarkGreen span {
background: transparent url('/images/MAIN/button-darkgreen-left.png') no-repeat 0 0;
display:block;
padding: 0 0 0 8px;
position: relative;
height:21px;
line-height:21px; /* CHANGE THIS VALUE ACCORDING TO BUTTONG HEIGHT */
color:#FFFFFF;
}a.ButtonDarkGreen {
background: transparent url('/images/MAIN/button-darkgreen-right-arrow.png') no-repeat top right;
height:21px; /* CHANGE THIS… more38 votesunder review ·

Compare servers
It would be good to be able to compare 2 CMS environments to highlight the differences between development and configuration differences stored in Kentico CMS.
Specifically to compare: Page Templates, Layouts, Custom and System tables, Email templates etc.

Save & Publish button
When editing content in CMSdesk there is a Save button and a Publish button. It would be useful to add a button that combines both of these, e.g. "Save & Publish".

add taxonomy to the categorization (similar to the AP taxonomy), or at least allow for the import of
Allow Kentico to interface with industry standard taxonomies (like the AP taxonomy) would better position it to compete with publishing systems. Taxonomy should be able to be applied to any asset (texts, images, events, products etc.) to improve search and "you may also like" abilities.

Migrate documents from one document type to another
It would be great to be able to migrate documents from one document type to another in CMS Desk (without using the SQL Import tool). This is especially useful when upgrading/overhauling/rearchitecting older Kentico websites.

A new navigation control (next & previous)
A new navigation control which allows the user to go to the next page (the document next below in the tree), the previous page (the document next up in the tree), and (as an option) go up (go to parent item).
